NASCAR 2024: FULL WEEKEND SCHEDULE FOR THE WURTH 400 AT DOVER MOTOR SPEEDWAY

The 2024 Wurth 400 takes place on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Dover Motor Speedway. The race will be telecast on FS1 and PRN at 2 pm ET. Located in Dover, Delaware, the race will be the 11th race of the 2024 NASCAR season and will see the Next Gen car in action for the third time since its debut.

The one-mile-long concrete oval track features 24 degrees of banking in the turns and 9 degrees on the front stretch.

The Dover Motor Speedway, nicknamed "The Monster Mile," was first opened in 1969. It hosted its inaugural Cup Series race at the track the same year. Richard Petty was the winner of the inaugural Cup race at Dover Motor Speedway.

The 37 drivers entering this week's Cup Series race will compete across 400 laps in 400 miles. The Cup Series weekend will begin with a practice and qualifying session on Saturday (April 27), followed by the main race on Sunday.

Martin Truex Jr. and Joe Gibbs Racing enter as the defending winners after securing a thrilling victory in last year's Wurth 400. The #19 JGR driver will look to defend his title this week.

NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson holds the record for most Wurth 400 wins with six. Johnson won the event in 2002, 2009, 2012, 2014–2015, and 2017. He is followed by Bobby Allison with five wins.

Kyle Busch and Truex Jr. are the only active NASCAR Cup Series drivers on the grid with multiple wins at the event. Truex Jr. has won it three times, while Busch has two wins.
