7X NBA ALL-STAR ANNOUNCES THAT HE IS RETIRING

Seven-time NBA All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge has announced his retirement from basketball.

LaMarcus Aldridge has been one of the best NBA players of the 2000s.      

The seven-time All-Star most recently played for the Brooklyn Nets in 2021-22 but has not played in a game this season.       

On Friday afternoon, he sent out a tweet announcing his retirement from basketball. 

Via Aldridge: "In the words of TB12, you only get one big, emotional retirement… so, on that note…I’m thankful for all the memories, family and friends I made throughout my career. It was one hell of a ride and I enjoyed every min! 12"

Aldridge played his college basketball at Texas, and was the second pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. 

He spent the first nine season of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers.
