ALABAMA FOOTBALL PLAYER TRANSFERRING AFTER TEAM'S SPRING GAME

The Alabama Crimson Tide are going to be missing one more offensive lineman this coming season following their recent spring game.

According to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports, Alabama offensive lineman James Brockermeyer has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Brockermeyer mostly played on special teams last season after playing in two games during the 2022 season.

Coming out of high school, Brockermeyer was a four-star prospect and the No. 194 overall recruit, per 247Sports. He was the No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 32 prospect from the state of Texas.

Brockermeyer is now the seventh member of the Crimson Tide to enter the transfer portal this month and their third since that fateful spring game.

But while the transfer portal has certainly taken away from Kalen DeBoer's roster, it has also given some pretty solid-looking prospects. Five-star offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, four-star wide receiver Germie Bernard and four-star quarterback Austin Mack are just a few of the big names that have followed DeBoer to Tuscaloosa over the past three months.

DeBoer's 2024 recruiting class - largely the work of Nick Saban - is still looking strong even with some players flipping their commitments.

Will Alabama be just as good in 2024 as they were in 2023?
