IOWA’S CAITLIN CLARK SENDS TWITTER INTO UTTER CHAOS AFTER MARCH MADNESS UPSET OF SOUTH CAROLINA

Caitlin Clark put on her best Wonder Woman impression on Friday as she powered Iowa basketball in a stunning March Madness upset of Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks. Naturally, the whole sports world are left in shock and awe of what Clarke just did.

The Hawkeyes are the underdogs in the game for a reason. Aside from facing the reigning champions in the Gamecocks, South Carolina is also considered a powerhouse team with the top women’s basketball program in the nation under Staley.

However, Iowa basketball never looked like the underdogs in the game, with Clark dominating from start to finish en route to the 77-73 Hawkeyes win. The 21-year-old dropped 41 points and recorded 41 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

Clark made plenty of history in the process, including becoming the first woman in NCAA Tournament to post back-to-back 40-point games. The Iowa star also had 41 against Louisville in the Elite 8.

One fan said, “41-6-8 to beat an undefeated defending champion in a Final Four matchup. I know we’re making a lot of comparisons, but there’s never been a Caitlin Clark before. This is so much fun to watch.”

“Running out of adjectives to describe Caitlin Clark,” Complex Sports wrote.

NBA insider Tommy Beer added, “Caitlin Clark is the best player in college basketball. Period. 40-burger in a Final 4 game is insane.”

Here are more reactions to Clark’s incredible night:

Clark certainly deserves all the praise she’s getting. She made Iowa one of the most fun teams to watch this March Madness, and no other team comes close.
