MICHIGAN WOLVERINES FLIP DEFENSIVE LINEMAN RECRUIT FROM USC

The Michigan Wolverines are already finding ways to poke their new Big Ten rivals. The USC Trojans join the Big Ten in 2024 and the Wolverines just flipped one of the recruits. Three-star defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale will now come to Ann Arbor next fall.

Michigan Wolverines Flip Deyvid Palepale From USC

Palepale is a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman out of Pennsylvania. Despite being only a three-star recruit, he has garnered interest from many programs. He originally committed to USC in July but decided that Michigan was the better choice. It isn’t hard to see why. Michigan has boasted some of the best defensive lines in college football in the past couple of seasons. USC’s defense is in the midst of a changing of the guard and it is unclear whether this played a factor in the flip.

Matchup Next Year

These teams are scheduled to play each other in 2024. The Trojans will come to The Big House early in the Big Ten schedule. This is just one of the many tough games on the Wolverines’ schedule next year. The Texas Longhorns come to Ann Arbor in week 2. Then in Big Ten play, the Wolverines have to play USC, Washington, Oregon, and, of course, Ohio State. There will not be anyone saying that Michigan has a cupcake schedule next year.

Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines will have their hands full next season. However, this season isn’t over as a matchup with Alabama looms at the end of the month.
