Barcelona are aiming to discharge Gavi in 15 days after seeing the midfielder return to first-team training on Thursday for the first time this year.
Diario AS journalist Javi Miguel has reported “If there are no setbacks, the forecast is to discharge him in about 15 days.”
The news is something of a surprise given Gavi has only just returned to training and has been out for such a long time with such a serious injury.
Of course, we know that Barca don’t want to rush Gavi back, in case he suffers any kind of relapse, with original estimates suggesting he would return in October or November.
Indeed Mundo Deportivo reckon that we won’t see Gavi in first-team action until after the next international break in October.
We’ll obviously have to see how it goes but there’s no doubt at all that fans will be delighted when Gavi finally does get back on pitch after such a lengthy time out.
The youngster is massively popular with supporters, and in the dressing room, and you can just bet he can’t wait to get going again.
